Some headlines of the interview:
‘Success? That’s a good one. Here’s how it is: The harder I work the luckier I get. There’s a lot of confusion about the word “success.“ It’s a team effort. It’s freedom. It’s the ability to build schools in neighborhoods like the one where I grew up. It’s not about the money; it’s about the journey. Anyone can live their dream for success. It’s simple. Wake up and live it.’
How do you feel looking back at all your greatest hits in the past and in which way did you change musically and personally throughout the years?
‘Everything and nothing has changed. I still wake up every day ready to fight like there’s nothing to lose. I understand how hard this music game is, and I am blessed to still be in the game. There’s no losing, only learning; there’s no failure, only opportunities; there are no problems, only solutions. Anything put in my way is another chance to forge a new path. As for songs, it’s all about people finding an escape, having fun, and even a sense of therapy. I want you to be able to go out, forget what you did but wake up the next morning and remember that you loved that you did it! ‘
